Privacy Policy for cards of ijou
This Privacy Policy explains how ijou.de/sign (Benjamin Maurer) ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the mobile game cards of ijou (the "App"). The App is available for iPhone and iPad and may also be used on compatible Mac devices.
1. Information We Collect
We do not collect personal data directly from users except for the information needed for leaderboards and achievements.
- Game Center username
- Game Center scores / leaderboard data
Local game data is stored on your device. Highscore data may also be synchronized with Game Center and stored on our server for leaderboard functionality.
2. How We Use Information
We use the limited data described above only to:
- display and maintain leaderboards
- support Game Center achievements
- provide core game functionality related to highscores
3. In-App Purchases
The App uses Apple StoreKit for in-app purchases. All payments are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system. We do not process payment card details ourselves. Purchase history is handled through Apple APIs.
4. Notifications
The App may send push notifications, including a daily gem reminder at 8:00 AM, if you allow notifications on your device. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
5. Analytics, Ads, and Tracking
- No third-party analytics SDKs are used.
- No advertising SDKs are used.
- No user tracking across apps or websites takes place.
- No App Tracking Transparency prompt is used.
- No data is shared with advertisers, ad networks, or data brokers.
6. Crash Reporting
Crash reporting may be provided through Apple services on an opt-in basis. We do not use external crash reporting tools.
7. Data Storage
- On-device: local game progress and related game data are stored on your device.
- Server: highscore data is stored on a server under our control and hosted in Germany.
8. Data Retention
Highscore data is generally retained until a new version of the App is released, at which point highscores may be reset. Local device data remains on your device unless you delete the App or remove it yourself.
9. Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing partners. Data is only used as necessary to provide App functionality, including Game Center features and leaderboard support.
10. User Rights
Depending on your location, including if you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or similar jurisdictions, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to:
- request access to your data
- request correction of inaccurate data
- request deletion of your data
- object to or request restriction of certain processing
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

11. Deletion Requests
Users may request deletion of eligible stored data by emailing ben@ijou.de.
12. International Availability
The App is available worldwide, including in the EU and the United States. Where required, we handle personal data in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including the GDPR.
13. Children
The App can be used by children under 13, but it is not specifically directed to children.
14. Third-Party Services
The App uses Apple services such as Game Center, StoreKit, push notifications, and Apple-provided crash reporting features where applicable. No other external SDKs or third-party services are used.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at: https://www.ijou.de/contract.html. The updated version will also show the latest revision date at the top of this page.
